The back story to the release of the ‘Healthy Snacks’ album by Peabod is one you couldn’t make up.

The rapper’s full name is Isaac Peabody, and he started off as a folk pop singer when he was a teenager.

As he grew in his musical talent, he re-emerged as a rapper, released an independent album, that was spotted by a record company, and had the chance to re-record all his tracks under the label.

When you listen to his music you’ll instantly spot how different it is from the bling-obsessed rap songs that you hear these days. His rap songs are full of nerdy vibes, quirks, and good humour that will boost your mood.

Tracks you’ll be hearing on xRhythms include 'Shoot From The Hip', 'Dang!' and 'Sweet As Coca-Cola'.

I’m still a raw beginner hoping to give up his day job.

Peabod laughed at the very idea that the gigantic Coca-Cola corporation would be paying him to endorse their product. He told Tony Cummings, “I’m still a raw beginner hoping to give up his day job. Corporate sponsorship isn’t on my radar.”

When Centricity Records issued ‘Healthy Snacks’ a press release gave Peabod’s purpose behind the album.

He said, “’Healthy Snacks’ is all about entering into joy because it’s good for your soul, just like healthy snacks are good for your body. At a surface level, I just wanted to have as much fun making music as I could. On a deeper level, the joy throughout the album comes from knowing Jesus and understanding the Gospel.”

Embrace the joy that comes from knowing Jesus.

Peabod concluded that his hope is for people listening to the album would have fun with his music, and embrace the joy that comes from knowing Jesus.

'Shoot From The Hip' has already taken off with over 150,000 views on YouTube. Peabod's album is now available on various music platforms and will be featured on the xRhythms playlist.
