Lecrae and Guvna B at 2022 Summer Festival

American Hip-Hop artists Lecrae and British rapper Guvna B have been announced for the big Church Day Out music festival in 2022 alongside other artists that are featured on our XRhythms playlist. They join the lineup alongside artists like festival headliner Matt Redman (who wrote double Grammy winning track “10,000 Reasons”), LZ7, Casting Crowns and Tauren Wells.

The Big Church Day Out is the biggest Christian music festival in the UK and is held on the south coast near Chichester.

Welcoming to all comers, families and music lovers alike, the festival has a variety of stages with just as much variety in performers and genres, and plenty of other fun activities and shops for merch and more. Over the years well known artists have performed there such as Crowder, Tim Hughes, Rend Collective and many more.

Their website describes the event like this, “Join with 30,000 people from across the UK and beyond to worship together in the jaw-dropping surroundings of the Weston Estate, in the company of some of the best Christian artists in the world.”

The festival also teams up with the charity Tearfund, an organisation that works to tackle poverty and injustice with churches in more than 50 countries worldwide. They say on their website, “We believe an end to extreme poverty is possible.”
