American EDM and hip-hop singer V Rose has been added to our playlist with her track “Better Things To Do”. The track was originally released in May this year, with a music video that premiered in July.
The song in question is a women’s anthem, talking about how women should find their worth outside of the attention of men, “You were by design, God's plan / Waste your time, no ma'am / Block them calls, they spam / Make this song your new jam / Yuh, got better things to do.”
She was first signed to Spechouse Media at the age of 15.
V Rose, real name Vienna Rose Dare, is based in Sacramento, California and started singing from the age of six and writing songs around the age of eight. She was first signed to Spechouse Media at the age of 15 with her group Harmony that she formed with her childhood friend.
She ended up signing with Spechouse as a solo artist after Harmony folded in 2005. She then signed on to Clear Sight Music after featuring on a couple of tracks by the artist FLAME, releasing two albums, her eponymous album and “Forever After”, in 2011 and 2014 respectively, with only her second one garnering any chart success.
Currently, V Rose is signed to Inpop Records based in Nashville.
