Nicole C. Mullen is a talented American singer songwriter who has used music, hope, and faith to get through difficult times.

She is widely known for her blockbuster hit “Redeemer”, and her newer track “Like Never Before” is featured on the xRhythms playlist.

The singer began her career as a songwriter, singer, dancer, and choreographer. She has won a number of GMA Dove Awards, been nominated for a Grammy Award twice, and is known for being an upbeat artist, full of energy.

She was in an abusive relationship and suffered with her mental health.

However, despite the success in her career, Nicole’s past relationship presented its challenges. In her latest book ‘My Redeemer Lives, It’s Personal’, she reveals that she was in an abusive relationship and suffered with her mental health.

Music was one of the key tools that helped her through this time. While talking to Erica Linney, the songwriter said working on the aforementioned blockbuster hit helped to restore her faith and brought her out of a “dark depression”.

Unfortunately, abuse in relationships is still prevalent. According to Refuge.org, nearly half of girls in the UK between 14-17 years old experience some form of sexual violence from their partner.

A third of young people don’t know where or who to turn to for support.

They also reported that over a third of young people don’t know where or who to turn to for support if they experience abuse.

Organisations such as YoungMinds, Childline, and The Survivors Trust are available 24/7 to offer support for anyone experiencing abuse.
