Canadian pop star Justin Bieber, singer of the recent xRhythms hit “Holy” featuring Chance The Rapper, has had a memorable summer.
With his world tour being cancelled due to the pandemic, Justin spent his summer off the stage with his wife, model Hailey Bieber.
In an intimate ceremony, the pair were submerged into a lake and baptised together by their good friend and pastor, Judah Smith.
This was one of most special moments of my life.
Justin posted about this on Instagram and said, “This was one of most special moments of my life. Confessing our love and trust in Jesus publicly with our friends and family.”
This is not Bieber’s first time dedicating himself to God. Before they wed, Justin and Hailey decided to abstain from having sex until they were married.
The pop star talks about his reason for abstaining in an interview with Vogue. “I wanted to rededicate myself to God in that way because I really felt it was better for the condition of my soul. And I believe that God blessed me with Hailey as a result.”
Justin and Hailey met when they were younger.
Justin and Hailey had met when they were younger and then reconnected at a Christian conference in Miami. Hailey separately spoke to Vogue about their relationship, “The common denominator, I promise you, is always church.”
The pair shared clips of their wedding in the artist’s 10-part documentary series. They celebrate their two-year marriage this September.
