Rapper and producer Sojourn released his track “Basement Boogie” featuring Ras Kass on the 5th April 2019 and has been recently added to our XRhythms playlist.

This single was later released as a part of Sojourn’s eight-track EP entitled “The Dark Room”, which was released on the 16th October 2020 under the label of Illcet Records.

Real name Tres Hodgens, this emcee started his musical journey at the age of just five years old with playing drums. By the age of thirteen, he was regularly playing for worship teams in both Hawaii and Southern California. 

A talented drummer, Hodgens has played for multiple bands across his twenty-year professional drumming career in genres ranging from pop, rock and funk all the way to Latin jazz and afro cuban music. 

His emcee pseudonym first came to light when he released his album “Sojournalism: The Summer Articles” in September 2009, which features beats made by a variety of artists and featuring a few more, including Theory Hazit who is also featured on our XRhythms playlist. 

His work as a rapper and producer is in high demand alongside his drumming talent as he continues to write, produce and feature on tracks for artists like Theory Hazit and Ras Kass.
