Band does live concerts in schools

CEDM group LZ7 will be celebrating their 11th
birthday this year. Their track “Amazing Grace” can be found on our XRhythms playlist now.

Although the band officially started in 2010 with the release of their song “This Little Light”, they had already been performing for 5 years under the banner of The Message Trust.

Lindz West, frontman and founder, had already done work with them as part of the dance group The Tribe that spilt in 2004. From there he was considering working with another rap group thebandwithnoname but instead founded LZ7 and continued working with The Message Trust, going into schools in Manchester doing shows and workshops surrounding the subject of faith.

In more recent years, the group has been touring Christian festivals like Big Church Day Out and Creation Fest, maintaining their commitment to performing in schools.

Their work has taken them international as well as working with more mainstream acts like Silentó and touring with Jason Derulo in 2018.

Lindz comments on this in an interview with One Man In the Middle saying, “…we are now pushing the mainstream more so than ever. So we're doing a concerted push into MTV, Radio 1, Remixes, One-Extra all the kind of mainstream stuff…”.

Their most recent release has been “Gettin’ Wild” featuring the duo SAINTZ released in December last year. Check it out on YouTube now.
