Justin Bieber "Christian appropriate" album coming
Expectation among Justin Bieber's millions of fans about his new album – expected to be released early 2019 - is still rising.
The last two years have seen him grow closer to the Hillsong Church and it has changed his entire life.
Reports in the national press that the 24 year old pop star’s fifth studio album will be “Christian appropriate” hinge around his much publicised re-commitment to Christ and his joining New York’s Hillsong Church. A source close to Bieber was reported in The Sun as saying, “He has always been religious but the last two years have seen him grow closer to the Hillsong Church and it has changed his entire life. He has a totally different outlook now. After he finished his last tour he really wasn’t interested in recording any music for a while. But his time with the church has revitalised him and although he is working with a lot of the same people who helped to make his last album, ‘Purpose’, he is reshaping his sound so it is more in line with the church’s values and beliefs.”
Justin’s early life was full of Christian influences. Recently, Christian musician and slam poet Peter Nevland was interviewed and told Premier YCW, “I went to a prayer meeting with [a friend, Nathan] and there was a young kid there who sang a song. That was Justin Bieber. He was just a kid from a low income housing project in the area. So every time we went to Stratford Ontario we would pick Justin up from home and he would sing for us. And then he started to open for me – his first show was opening for me and my guitarist. He opened for us a few times.”
